School Fair May 2nd Press Release

Please join us at the School Fair event hosted by Black River High School to learn about the educational opportunities that will be available for the students in our community by the Fall of 2020.

On Thursday, May 2nd, from 1:30pm to 4:30pm Black River High School will host a School Fair which will be located in Presidential Hall, the newly upgraded gym in the Ludlow Elementary School.  The Fair will feature more than a dozen different schools showcasing the various educational opportunities that will be available for the Ludlow and Mount Holly students once Black River closes as the public school.  This is a wonderful opportunity for both students and families to learn more about what the Independent School Committee has accomplished and what they plan to offer at the Black River Academy. A large part of this will be based on feedback from the community members at the School Fair.  The committee is excited to engage students on the academic pedagogy, which will focus on student-centered, individualized learning. Furthermore, the committee is actively reviewing to provide college prep, athletics, and other various extracurriculars.

For further information please visit the independent school’s website: www.blackriveracademy.org; or the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/blackriveracademy
Email contact is blackriveracademy@gmail.com

The Committee also continues to meet weekly, every Thursday at 6:30pm in the library of Black River High School Middle School. We want your input, so please consider attending a meeting.

Carols/Jackies Last Update

5:37 PM (1 hour ago)

This morning at 0745 our beloved passed in peace with her special 3D's +1 holding her hand. She put up a brave fight and we think she held on until all of us were together. Her new journey is now complete and she passed as she wanted it, at home, with her family surrounding her.
She wants there to be a Village Baptist Church Celebration of Her Life when the church renovation project is complete. She even remarked that her celebration could constitute a "Grand Opening" after the construction.  Later this summer she wants a gathering on our meadow among her flowers and friends. She marveled at the outpouring of love for her.
We are so grateful to so many of you.
