An unedited letter from the Farrow family about Benji's Olympic experience.

Newsflash

The LORD has locked the door on Sochi for Benji...we are in a mild sort of disbelief and sadness for him regarding this last Saturday, but know that GOD is in control of all things and His children.   Benji for some reason is not to snowboard fo.
r a while.  On Saturday (Jan 18th) at the end of the day of riding and practice he was coming off of a rail with his back on the downhill.  He was "blind" to as to what was downhill at this precise moment.   A snowmobile was turning in his path - well Benji hit it and did damage to his knee - not significant - but enough to put him out for a few weeks if surgery is not needed.  Isn't this just amazing?  The poor kid, is just trying so hard to keep up a positive outlook, is not going after the young man who made the mistake (being in the path of a jump/rail on it a major no no on any mountain) - even though it has ruined some opportunities for Benji's next few weeks or season.  Because we trust in GOD and He is greater than us, we are holding onto the truth that something better is going to happen from all this - we don't know what, but we can trust that the God who created the heavens and the earth, is the same God who cares even for the sparrows and Benji Farrow!  Thanks for keeping us in prayer.  Just another beautiful story about who Benji is and  that one day it will all fit together .

As for me, it is good for me to draw near to God: therefore I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works.
