New Program Launches at Weston's Public Library - "Ask the Local Expert"

Wilder Memorial Library, the public library of Weston, Vermont, is pleased to launch a new series of programs, “Ask the Local Expert”

Vermonters have earned a reputation for being smart, capable folks who are good at figuring things out independently and sharing knowledge within local communities. Our local region is full of talented experts who are eager to help their neighbors solve problems, acquire new skills and learn about Vermont and the wider world. Wilder Memorial Library’s “Ask the Local Expert” series features local experts who will offer hands-on training and educational presentations on the topics they know best. 

The first "Ask the Local Expert" class will take place at Weston's public library on Saturday, September 24th from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm. Local Expert, Matt Sydorowich of Andover, Vermont will teach "Basic Computer Skills" for PC Windows users. 

Sydorowich is an accomplished computer expert and a thoughtful, caring instructor. He has decades of experience fixing computers and teaching others how to get the most from technology. He has worked at Hewlett Packard and Borders. Sydorowich owns the local computer service and repair company, Sydscompufix www.sydscompufix.com 

"Ask the Local Expert" programs are free and open to the public, but registration is required. Please phone the Weston public library 802-824-4307 or email director@wildermemoriallibrary.org if you would like to sign up.

"Ask the Local Expert" programs coming soon ... learn to tie your own flies for fly fishing, everything you ever wanted to know about bees and honey, knitting and fiber arts, how to set up Internet through your smart-TV at home, how to make photo-books on your computer, what on earth is yoga and why is everyone doing it?
