Story Time at the Gazebo
Wednesdays 10:30-11:00am
The last Story Time will be on August 15th.
Best suited for ages 6 & under
Stop by the gazebo on the town green for a relaxed ½ hour of stories and songs. If foul weather, program will be held at the library. 
Read With Sailor
Thursday August 23, 2018
3:00-4:00pm
Everyone is invited to the library to visit with Sailor and maybe read him a book or two. Reading to a dog is an easy way for young students to work on their reading skills while gaining confidence.

End of Summer Reading Ice Cream Party and Movie
Friday August 24, 2018
1:00-3:00pm
Let’s celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program with ice cream and a movie about a mischievous rabbit who wreaks havoc on his neighbor’s garden. .Everyone is welcome, even if you were not in the summer reading program.

Get Ready for Kindergarten Story Time

Do you have a child that is headed to Kindergarten this year? If the answer is yes, then this Story Time is just for you! We’ll read some Kindergarten themed stories, talk about new teachers and friends and create a fun craft. All soon to be Kindergartners will leave with a “Get Ready for Kindergarten” goodie bag.  Please Register by 8/17/18


Rocking Wednesdays
1:00-2:00pm Best suited for ages 4 & up

* August 1st- Kelly Hunter- Our Solar System Rocks! We’ll learn about new discoveries in the solar system and hear stories about how they got their names.
* August 8th- Exordium-Rocking it with Pan Pipes
Kurt Valenta of the Exordium will teach participants how to make a 3 tone pan pipe using Japanese Knotweed. Everyone will leave with a decorated instrument to take home.

Booktivities
Tuesdays from 11:00-12:00pm
Best suited for ages 5 & up
August 7th- Rainsticks- How can you bring the gentle sounds of the rainforest into your life? With a rainstick of course!  With heavy duty cardboard tubes, hammer and nails and a few more supplies you will create a soothing instrument like none other.
14th- Solar Oven S’mores- How can you make yummy S’mores without a fire? Join in today and help create a solar oven that will use the power of the sun to create everyone’s favorite ooey gooey treat! ( An alternative activity will be provided if the day is not sunny).

Teen Time- DIY Bath Bombs

Grades 6 & up
They’re fizzy! They’re Fun! They’re Bath Bombs.  Learn how to make these yummy smelling treats for your tub. Please register by 8/8/18
