BRAM Plans Huge Silent Auction


For Epic Restaurant Gala July 21

On Saturday, July 21, at 6 PM, at the Epic Restaurant at Okemo's Solitude Mountain area, Black River Academy Museum (BRAM) will be hosting its second annual gala featuring a fantastic menu, great company, and a silent auction with items that will satisfy everyone's needs and desires.
In describing the gala, Sharon Combes-Farr, BRAM Treasurer, noted that the event is a "great opportunity for folks in the Ludlow area, and second home owners as well, to meet to enjoy a delightful dinner in a superb setting that is crowned by an outstanding group of silent auction items that you cannot find anywhere else".
Listed below are some of the many items included in the silent auction.  The list, though not complete since more items are being added daily, has something for everyone:
* dining certificates from the Echo Lake Inn
* $20 gift certificate from Shaws
* framed Ludlow print from Hunter-Lea
* a Lobster Dinner for four from Black River Produce
* $50 gift certificate to Mr. Darcy's + leather bound copy of the works of the Brontes (Darcy is a main character in Pride and Prejudice)
* a month gold membership donated by the Castle Inn & Resort
* a "foraging experience" included lessons in both fiddelheads and morels, from Iggy Matulonis
* Dinner for two at Downtown Grocery Restaurant
* an hour private golf lesson with Mike Santa Maria, head golf professional with 2 rounds of golf from Okemo Valley Golf course. * 2 adventure tickets for Jackson Gore including the new segway and zip line tours
* a 2 night get-away to NYC apartment on Central Park West and 107th Street, 6th floor (see photo)
* catered lunch for 6
* mulch with a retail price of $125
* Glimmerstone - 2 nights stay
* Okemo Inn - 2 nights stay
* Combes Family Inn - 2 nights stay
* Private tour of Antinori vineyard on 20 Mile Stream (paired with bottle of Antinori wine of Italy)
* Learn to make preserves with Ruth Combes from the Combes Family inn (paired with case of Ball jars)

* a Road Bike Tour with John Neal

Tickets may be purchased at BRAM, located at 14 High Street in Ludlow,or via its members; in Ludlow, tickets are also available at the Book Nook and the Wine and Cheese Depot. Tickets are $50 each.
