Mt. Holly Library/Classics for a Reason

Fr:  Susan Presson, Mt. Holly Library

The Mt. Holly Library prides itself on having many of the titles on the best seller list at any given time. But did you know that the library also  has a large collection of literary classics from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries…. all those books you really MEANT to read, but somehow just never got around to? Chances are, we might have them.  Or, that one great book you really adored, and would love to read again.  We might have that too.

Come on in and meet…or get reacquainted with… "Nicholas Nickleby" and  "Jane Eyre"  "Ivanhoe" and "Don Quixote."  From Bronte to Wharton, George Orwell to Thomas Mann, the library is a the place to meet up with the great authors of the past, as well as the present.

Children's classics abound as well.  "Make Way for the Ducklings" and "Babar the King," are on our shelves, along with many other books you might happily recall from your own childhood.  And for Young Adults, there is "Catcher in the Rye" and "Ann of Green Gables."  And dozens more.

The Mt Holly Library is both a ticket to future great reading and a passage to revisit and renew our shared literary heritage. So please come in and join the ride!
