Man accused of firing shots, taking baby

MOUNT HOLLY, Vt. -
Vermont state police are investigating a domestic incident involving reports of shots fired and a baby taken from a home.
Police were called to the home in Mount Holly Thursday morning, where a female victim reported being attacked by Dennis Hale, a man known to her. The woman claims Hale choked and punched her, fired shots from a handgun, and then fled in a pickup, reportedly taking a 7-month-old baby from the house.
Police stopped Hale's truck on Route 103 in Mount Holly a short time later. He and the child were taken into custody without incident.
